Defender Luke Wilkinson is likely to be missing for “the next couple of weeks” after going off with a hamstring injury in the 2-0 defeat to Chesterfield today.

The centre-half was replaced by Morgan Williams after 28 minutes of the match despite not being one of the injury doubts ahead of the match.

Manager Darren Sarll said: “I think that is a hamstring tear, so we will have to dig deep in to the reserves or recruit.

“I certainly do not think he will be available for the next couple of weeks.”

The 30-year-old was restricted to just 20 matches last season with injuries to his calf.

Speaking at the start of the season, he said that custom-made insoles in his boots and a regime of gym work had helped him overcome issues with the soleus muscles.
