It’s been a while since the Glovers were back in action and finally, Yeovil can go back in search of three points this weekend.

But as ever, we need some officials and here’s who will be taking charge of the game against Southend.

Abigail Byrne will be tasked with keeping everything in order, she’s only refereed a handful of games at domestic level this season, including two in National League; dishing out six yellow cards a piece in two games at this level.

She’s done some EFL Trophy ties and some Under 21s games too.

But, most recently she’s been part of an English officiating team at the FIFA Under 17s Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic (I mean, there are worse places to referee a football match!) most recently acting as Fourth Official for the clash between Nigeria and the host nation on October 22nd.

She’s never taken charge of a Yeovil game, but did oversee a rather underwhelming 2-1 win for Southend over Maidenhead last season.

Arguably, her most high profile appointment came in 2013 when she was in charge of SoccerAid at a packed out Old Trafford where the Rest of the World beat England to win the trophy and raise a boat load of cash for UNICEF along the way.

If you can keep up with the pace of play with Usain Bolt in the team, I don’t think any of our lot will cause much hassle.

Abigail will be assisted by Laurentiu Hantea and Graham Swanton, with Tommy Breen in charge of the dugouts.
