National League South Champion, Jake Hyde has signed for Chelmsford City.

The former Southend and Wrexham front man made important contributions from the bench as he helped Yeovil Town land the NLS title.

But after injury troubles prevented him from seeing the season out with a regular spot in the team, he was deemed surplus to requirements and released.

Now he’s back in the NLS and looking to go for back to back promotions with Chelmsford.

Go well, Jake!

I really liked Jake Hyde and loved the goals he scored for us. I was a bit sad that he wasn’t kept on, but I understand that’s how football is and guessed that Mark Cooper would prefer players with less of an injury history.
All the best at Chelmsford, Jake.

Wouldn’t be shocked if he was on a decent wage as well, I thought he was a decent squad player, but I’m sure we’ve signed players on lower wages that will perform just as well
