A double from captain Corey Koerner saw Yeovil Town Under-18s progress to the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Youth Cup with a 4-1 away with at Helston Athletic on Tuesday night.
The visitors went behind after just 14 minutes when Levi Hilling put the north Cornwall side ahead before Koerner struck the equaliser after a scramble inside the penalty area with 32 minutes on the clock.
Within six minutes of the restart, Ollie Hughes fired Yeovil ahead before substitute George Geraghty added a third on 68 minutes and Koerner completed the scoring with eight minutes remaining.
Koerner was on the bench for the first-team in a 4-3 win at AFC Fylde at the start of last month and is currently out on loan with Plymouth Parkway in the Southern League Premier Division South.
Victory puts the Glovers through to the Third Qualifying Round, ties for which will be played the week commencing Monday 14th October. We will bring you the draw when it is available.
