Chris Hargreaves makes just one change from the side that beat Dagenham as they take on National League leaders Wealdstone.

As expected, Lawson D’ath makes way after coming off with a knee injury on Saturday with Sam Perry taking his place in the starting line up.

Taking his place on the bench, is a slightly surprising return to the squad for Charlie Wakefield, he was expected to miss this game, but has clearly recovered ahead of schedule, which is lovely.

There’s no goalkeeper on the bench with loanees, Matty Grivosti and Finley Craske both still missing from the squad as well as Bristol City stopper Will Buse, the squad is as follows…

Yeovil Town: Grant Smith, Morgan Williams, Alfie Pond, Ben Richards-Everton, Josh Staunton, Jamie Reckord, Matt Worthington, Sam Perry, Gime Toure,Alex Fisher, Malachi Linton. Substitutes: Callum Rowe, Max Hunt, Chiori Johnson, Charlie Wakefield, Jake Scrimshaw.

As for the hosts, former Glover – and in form striker Rhys Browne leads their line with enforced changes in their back-line.
There’s no place for Fela Olomola, who is out injured.

Wealdstone: Howes, Cook, Kinsella, Charles, Allarakhia, Ferguson, Browne, Sesay, Napa, Kretzschmar, Habergham
Substitutes: Young, Hutchinson, Dyer, Mongoy, Mundle-Smith

Yeovil Town have made three changes as they search for their first National League win of the season against Dagenham & Redbridge today (3pm kick-off).

They replace on loan winger Sam Pearson, who was suffering a back injury following the midweek defeat to Barnet, and Sam Perry, who drops to the bench.

Charlie Wakefield is set to start in a more advanced position with Johnson taking over at right wing-back.

On loan Bolton Wanderers striker Matt Grivosti is on the bench.

Yeovil Town have named an unchanged squad for the visit of Barnet to Huish Park tonight (7.45pm kick-off).

Striker Malachi Linton will be looking to add to the first goal of the season he got in spectacular fashion in the 1-1 draw with Wrexham at the weekend, and he is again paired alongside Alex Fisher.

New signing Gime Toure remains on the substitutes’ bench having impressed when he came on against the Welshmen.

Barnet are also unchanged from their 2-2 draw at newly-promoted Gateshead at the weekend with former Glovers’ midfielder Dale Gorman continuing with the captain’s armband.

Another ex-player Connor Smith is among the visitors’ substitutes whilst Sean Shields scored early for W*ymouth when they held Yeovil to a 1-1 draw at Huish Park in February, three months before he was part of the side which was relegated.

In what could be either a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 formation, the Bristol City youngster replaces centre half Ben Richards-Everton who is not in the squad and understood to be injured.

Recent arrivals Gime (pronounced ‘Jimmy’ we’re told) Toure and defender Alfie Pond are both named on the bench alongside Lawson D’Ath, Chiori Johnson and goalkeeper Will Buse.

For the visitors, summer signings Elliot Lee and Jacob Mendy both come in come off the bench in the opening day win over Eastleigh last weekend.

Lee, who scored twice seven days ago to earn his new side a win, is paired alongside Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer in what can only be described as a ridiculously talented front three at this year.

Sam Pearson in action for Wales – FAW

Chris Hargreaves has made a couple of changes for the final pre-season game ahead of the new campaign.

New signings Ben Richards-Everton and Sam Pearson are both named in the squad.

The former starts in the backline alongside Morgan Williams and Max Hunt with the welsh midfielder having to wait to make his impact from the bench.

Skipper Josh Staunton returns to midfield alongside Matt Worthington. Lawson D’ath misses out altogether presumably with more ‘minute managing’ on the cards for the midfielder.

There are three trialists listed – if we figure out who they might be, we will let you know.

Yeovil Town are unchanged as they prepare to face League One opposition in Plymouth Argyle in their latest pre-season friendly at Huish Park today (3pm kick-off).

Manager Chris Hargreaves has stuck with the same starting XI which earned a 1-1 draw against Exeter City seven days ago with the only change coming on the substitutes’ bench where playmaker Lawson D’Ath returns.

He had missed the friendlies at Taunton Town and against Exeter through injury. The official team-sheet states that “a number of trialists” are also on the bench – but what that number is we will have to wait and see.

For the visitors, former Glovers’ skipper Joe Edwards is named as captain as he makes his first return to Somerset since leaving in 2015.

Yeovil Town: Grant Smith, Chiori Johnson, Morgan Williams, Josh Staunton, Max Hunt, Jamie Reckord, Sam Perry,  Matt Worthington, Tom Knowles, Malachi Linton, Alex Fisher. Substitutes: Max Evans, Ollie Haste, Toby Stephens, Charlie Wakefield, Ollie Hulbert, Lawson D’Ath + “a number of trialists.”

There is just one trialist named in the Yeovil Town starting XI for today’s pre-season friendly against League One new boys Exeter City at Huish Park today (3pm kick-off).

Trialist A appears to be playing at right back on the team-sheet and therefore we assume it is Chiori Johnson, the former Torquay United player who played in the goalless draw at Taunton Town on Tuesday night.

Four other trialists are named on the substitutes’ bench whilst striker Alex Fisher, who joined on a two-year deal in the week, makes his first start since returning to the club.

Charlie Wakefield and Ollie Hulbert are both named on the bench having missed the midweek game through injury, but there is still no place for Lawson D’Ath.

Yeovil Town: Grant Smith, Trialist A, Morgan Williams, Max Hunt, Josh Staunton, Jamie Reckord, Sam Perry,  Matt Worthington, Tom Knowles, Malachi Linton, Alex Fisher. Substitutes: Max Evans, Ollie Haste, Toby Stephens, Charlie Wakefield, Ollie Hulbert, Trialist B, Trialist C, Trialist D, Trialist E.

Interim-Caretaker-Player-Manager-Captain Josh Staunton has picked his first (and last) team for the trip to Altrincham in the final game of the National League season.

Young keeper Max Evans is handed a start with first-choice keeper Grant Smith on the substitutes bench alongside Staunton and fellow youngster Ollie Haste.

There is no sign of club captain Luke Wilkinson or midfielders Matt Worthington and Dale Gorman whilst Josh Neufville is unavailable following his recall by Luton Town.

Yeovil Town: Max Evans, Mark Little, Morgan Williams, Jack Robinson, Alex Bradley, Tom Knowles, Jordan Barnett, Sonny Blu Lo-Everton, Lawson D’Ath, Reuben Reid, Charlie Wakefield.

Substitutes: Grant Smith, Josh Staunton, Ollie Haste, Adi Yussuf.

Yeovil Town line up with a back three as they take on Boreham Wood in the final home game of the National League season.

Max Hunt and Mark Little return to the starting XI after missing the Bank Holiday draw with Wealdstone and join Luke Wilkisnon with Morgan Williams and Jack Robinson expected to be deployed as wing backs.

Dale Gorman also returns in midfield with Ben Barclay and Adi Yussuf dropping to the bench. Sonny Blu Lo-Everton is not in the squad.
