Yeovil Town’s on-loan duo Ollie Haste and Toby Stephens both played for Truro City in their 3-1 win at Winchester City on Saturday.

Haste completed another 90 minutes and almost got his first goal for the White Tigers late on in their victory too.

Midfielder Stephens started the game on the bench and was introduced as an 80th minute substitute to make his first appearance since joining the Cornish side at the start of their Southern League Premier Division South campaign.

Well done on the win, lads.

Goalkeeper Max Evans didn’t feature for Larkhall Athletic, who drew 1-1 at Cowes Sports.

He was back at Huish Park on Tuesday for the game against Barnet sporting a new pair of crutches. It is hoped the injury isn’t too serious, but scans will be needed before a return date can be planned in.

Get well soon, Max!

Yeovil Town have confirmed that youngsters Toby Stephens and Ollie Haste have joined Truro City on ‘short-term’ loans.

We brought you the new last week that Stephens represented Truro as a trialist in their defeat to Torquay, but Haste was also involved and will be joining Paul Wotton’s side alongside the midfielder.

Speaking to YTFC.net Chris Hargreaves said: “Toby and Ollie are both young lads we think very highly of, who need consistent minutes to improve.

“The step up from U18’s into the National League is never easy, so having a loan move with a fantastic club like Truro will help them bridge that gap and see them return as better players.”

We will do our very best to keep you updated on their progress.

All the best at Truro, lads.

Yeovil Town youth prospect Ollie Haste has signed a professional contract with the club ahead of next season.

Interim manager Charlie Lee said after the Somerset Premier Cup win that Haste has signed on pro terms having seen the English college youth player impress in the competition

I think the Somerset Cup has been a massive success for the club this year… we’ve had youngsters play, boys from the college scheme play, do well and then we has Hastey sign a contract, it’s just been brilliant”

BBC Somerset’s Sheridan Robins followed up to confirm the deal had been done and after a sly glance at Media Officer Sam Collard, Lee confirmed it was all signed and sealed.

Yep, hopefully I didn’t let anything go too early, he’s done really well, he’s come through the college scheme, he’s been involved and he’s signed a contract!”

Haste has spent time on loan with Barnstaple Town this season and has been an unused sub for the Yeovil first team on a couple of occasions including at Wrexham away.

A huge congratulations to Ollie from everyone at the Gloverscast!

Toby Stephens claps the Yeovil fans

On loan Yeovil Town midfielder, Toby Stephens played 90 minutes for Barnstaple Town on Saturday in a 2-1 win.

Barnstaple remain bottom of the table and have two games left to play.

Toby Stephens claps the Yeovil fans

Yeovil Town midfielder Toby Stephens was in action this week and, like his parent club, was also on the winning side with Barnstaple Town.

Stephens started in midfield for his temporary side as they overcame Evesham United 2-1 in a big result for the Southern League Division One South & West strugglers.

He received treatment part way through the match after taking a knock to the head but did carry on.

Defender Ollie Haste was also in the side, Haste has been named on the Glovers’ bench on a few occasions this season and represented the team in the Somerset Premier Cup.

Former Youth Team goalkeeper, Lloyd Irish is also part of the squad.
