Southend United and Dagenham & Redbridge played out a frenetic 2-2 draw in front of over 8,000 fans at Roots Hall. The Daggers thought they had all three points secured, before a 93rd minute equaliser from Gus Scott-Morriss rescued a point for the Shrimpers.
It took a 94th minute winner from Charlie McCann to bag all three points for Forest Green Rovers in a 2-1 win at home to Altrincham, while Boston United turned last week’s draw into a win this week, as they inflicted York City’s first defeat of the season with a 2-0 win. Eastleigh’s 100% start came to an end in a top-of-the-table clash between themselves and Sutton United, a 1-1 draw leaving the two sides 1st and 3rd after five games.
Gateshead continued their unbeaten start against Oldham Athletic, taking an early lead through Tyrelle Newton, before Manny Monthe equalised in the second half to split the points between the two sides. It was a day of firsts on Monday, as Wealdstone got their first win on the board with a 1-0 win over AFC Fylde, and Ebbsfleet United got their first point on the board with a 0-0 draw at Braintree Town. Finally, Solihull Moors took three points back down the M6 in a 1-0 win at FC Halifax Town.
