For one last time this season, let’s take a look at who the match officials are for the Glovers this weekend.

Andrew Humphries is the man in the middle, someone who we have had a little run in with before.

This season, he’s taken charge of 37 games across a range of divisions, mostly in League One.

In fact, he’s only looked after four games at this level all season long.

Those 39 games have seen 119 yellow cards offered (a touch over 3 per game), eight red cards and seven penalties awarded.

He has refereed a Yeovil game this season, the 2-0 away defeat to Forest Green Rovers way back in August.

Charlie Cooper, Byron Pendleton, Finn Cousin-Dawson all got a yellow card each… Jake Wannell picked up a couple of them though and as a result, a red one.

The only time he’s been to Huish Park was a 2-1 defeat against Barnet, one where there was more than a little bit of late controversy as Ed James was scythed down in the penalty area late on… with the referee perfectly positioned, he didn’t fancy making a big call against the Champions elect, and waved play on. There were questions from all in green at full time.

This though, being the something of an end of season friendly, should be a far calmer contest to keep tabs on.

Mr Humphries will be assisted by James Hooper and Thomas Holden, with Kevin Morris on fourth official duty.

All we want is a decent referee. Andrew Humphries wonders how he’s going to get out of Huish Park alive.
