Yeovil Town have confirmed the signing of Taunton’s attacking midfielder Dylan Morgan for an undisclosed fee.

The Welshman, who moved to the county town side from Swansea City’s youth ranks in the summer of 2022, missed the Peacocks’ 4-1 defeat at Huish Park and was heavily rumoured with a move to the Glovers with manager Rob Dray saying the player was subject to interest from a “a very local full-time club“.

Speaking about the departing player, Dray said: “Dylan again is someone who deserves his move to full-time football. He has been superb since he joined us and it’s been great watching him develop. I look forward to watching him develop even more in the future.

The Taunton X/Twitter account describes the deal as having been done for “an undisclosed fee.

The 21-year-old joins fellow ex-Peacocks’ players Jake Wannell and Jay Foulston in making the switch to Somerset’s premier club this season.

He has already scored five times in 19 appearances this season with his last goal coming on his final appearance in claret-and-blue in a 2-2 draw with Tonbridge Angels on December 23rd. He also netted a brace in a 3-0 win in the reverse fixture at Tonbridge back in September – so they’ll be pleased to see him coming back!

Morgan’s career began in the youth set-up at Southampton and then Forest Green Rovers before signing for Swansea in the summer of 2021 following a successful trial. He was released by the Swans and trialled with Taunton before signing permanently at the start of last season.
