Mark Cooper makes three changes for the Glovers’ clash with Farnborough, but one of them comes with a very clear set of instructions.
Alex Fisher makes just his second start of the season for Yeovil, since the 1-0 win over Bath in December, he’s been used exclusively in a substitute’s capacity, but he’s in from the off against Farnborough and has been told exactly what to do.
Speaking to Ian Randall pre-match, Mark Cooper said;
“We’ve made three changes, Alex Whittle is back in at Left Back instead of Jay Foulston, Charlie Cooper comes back into the midfield and Dylan Morgan drops to the bench and Alex Fisher is playing as a Number Nine today, he’s been given strict instructions to stay in the middle of the pitch and run towards the goal”
With a wry smile on his, rather basic, instructions, Cooper’s changes do suggest a slightly more direct approach with Fisher making an impact from the bench on each of the last two games.
In other news, Cooper confirmed that it would be ‘unlikely’ that Jake Hyde would feature again for the Glovers this season, whilst Rhys Murphy is ‘touch and go’ for another outing before the season concludes in late April.
Olly Thomas is hoping to be back at Huish Park in the near future, hopefully ahead of next Saturday’s home clash with Welling having had his return to Yeovil delayed by a few days by Bristol City
