Yeovil Town’s Women’s team will get a second chance at their first competitive league game after the Somerset County League decided their abandoned opener will be replayed in full.

The Glovers were leading 3-1 against Sydenham when the game was brought a premature halt with a serious injury to the opposition ‘keeper.

It has since been ruled that the game will be replayed in full, from 0-0, at a time and date to suit both parties.

Everyone at the Gloverscast joins YTWFC in wishing the injured player well for her recovery.

This weekend, the Women’s first team take on Banwell in a home game at Somerton – Kick off is at 2pm on Sunday and Entry is FREE

The Glovers progressed through to the next round of the Women’s FA Cup with a 5-0 win over Mangotsfield Town and will be hoping to continue that good form into their second, first, league game.
