Yeovil Town Under-18s travel to Mangotsfield United looking to record their fourth consecutive win in the South West Counties Youth League.

The young Glovers have scored ten times without reply in their last three league games, but were held to a 2-2 draw by BRS Youth Coaching in the Gary Else Memorial Cup last weekend.

Last time out an early goal from striker Charlie Bateson was enough to earn three points at Bath City and move them up to third place.

In the Junior Premier League, the club’s other age group sides are also in action as part of the Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust.

The Under-11s face North Somerset Regional Talent Centre, the Under-12s take on Paulton Rovers whilst the Under-13s, Under-14s and Under-15s take on their counterparts from Saints South West.

The Under-16s play Bridgwater United.

 

Yeovil Town Under-18s are in cup action this weekend as they take on BRS Coaching Youth Under-18s at Alvington on Saturday (10.30am kick-off).

The young Glovers will be in action in the Gary Else Cup, the cup competition of the South West Counties Youth League, looking to secure another win over the Ringwood-based opponents they beat 6-0 in the league last month.

The club’s younger age group teams, playing under the Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust, are also in action this weekend.

The Under-11s take on FC Wiltshire with the Under-12s facing Cheltenham Town in the Junior Premier League.

The Under-13s, Under-14s and Under-15s teams are all in action against Taunton Town, whilst the Under-16s are without a fixture this weekend.

A fifth goal of the season for striker Charlie Bateson lifted Yeovil Town Under-18s up to second in the South West Counties Youth League with a 1-0 win at Bath City.

The frontman struck after just four minutes of the match played at Twerton Park, a venue where the Glovers’ first team have crossed swords with the Romans on many occasions – albeit not for quite a number of years.

The result pushes Matt Percival’s side on to 11 points which puts the second, five points behind leaders Bridgwater United who have played a game more.

Yeovil Town Under-18s: Robert Hollard, Max Dyer, Jacob Shore, Harrison Foster, Jake Graziano, Sam Hodges, Mason Hunter, Jack Bareham (for Alex Stevens, 60), Mason Alden (for Ethan O’Sullivan, 60), Charlie Bateson (for Joshua Haskett, 85), Benjani Junior (for Joshua Sutton, 80).

In the Junior Premier League, the club’s Under-14s picked up a win over Bridgwater but there were defeats for the Under-12s and the Under-16s to Torquay United and Bridgwater respectively.

The Under-11s picked up a draw in their match against the PJSS Academy. All the youth teams represent the club as part of the Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust.

Yeovil Town Under-18s are back on home soil taking on BRS Coaching Youth in the South West Counties Youth League at Alvington on Saturday (10.30am kick-off).

The young Glovers picked up a 3-0 win away at Wimborne Town last weekend to move up to third in the division and will be looking for three more points against an opponent who have suffered a number of heavy defeats this season.

The Ringwood-based outfit lost their first two matches of the season 11-0 at league leaders Bridgwater United and 7-1 against Cirencester Town, but picked up a 3-1 home win over Mangotsfield United last weekend.

The club’s other age group teams, playing as part of the Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust, are also in Junior Premier League action on Saturday.

The Under-13s, Under-14s, Under-15s and Under-16s all take on opposition from the Mid-Somerset Regional Talent Centre. The Under-11s and Under-12s teams do not have a fixture this weekend.

Yeovil Town Under-18s moved up to third place in the South West Counties Youth League after picking up their first win of the season.

The young Glovers took the lead after 25 minutes against Wimborne Town with Charlie Bateson getting his third league goal of the season.

The striker has six in all competitions after bagging a hat-trick in the recent FA Youth Cup win at Bovey Tracey.

Alex Stevens and substitute Josh Haskett added goals in the second half to seal the win which moves the Under-18s up the division after four matches, albeit with some in the division having played just one match.

In the Junior Premier League, the club’s age group teams playing under the Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust picked up three wins and two defeats.

The Under-12s won against Paulton Rovers with the Under-15s and Under-16s defeating Saints South West Devon, whilst Under-11s and Under-13s lost their matches against Paulton Rovers and Saints South West respectively.

Yeovil Town Under-18s travel to Wimborne Town in search of their first win of the South West Counties Youth League win this weekend.

The young Glovers’ opponents have only played once this season, picking up a 2-1 win against Ringwood-based BRS Coaching Youth, who lost their other fixtures 7-1 and 11-0.

The match takes place at Blandford School in Blandford Forum at 10.30am on Saturday 8th October.

In the week, there were wins for Elite Player Development Programme (EPDP), run by Yeovil College in partnership with the club, with the first team running out 4-1 winners against Exeter College 2nd XI.

Charlie Bateson scored twice with Josh Sutton and Aiden Skiverton also on target. The EPDP 2nd XI won 5-0 at home to against Bridgwater and Taunton College’s 3rd XI.

The age group teams representing the Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust are also in action this weekend with the Under-11s and Under-12s facing their opponents from Paulton Rovers, whilst the Under-13s, Under-15s and Under-16s play Saints South West in the Junior Premier League.

Yeovil Town’s Under-18s have been drawn away at Eastleigh in the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Youth Cup.

The young Glovers are through to this round after a 7 (seven) – 0 win over the Bovey Tracey Under-18s on Thursday evening. You can read more on the young Glovers’ win – here.

Eastleigh progressed with a 3-0 victory over AFC Totton.

Ties in this round are due to take place week commencing 10th of October.

Yeovil Town’s Under-18s progressed to the next qualifying round of the FA Youth Cup Cup on Thursday evening with a comprehensive 7-0 award victory at Bovey Tracey.

Matt Percival’s side were in complete control throughout and we’re already looking comfortable when the hosts were reduced to ten men in the second half.

A hat-trick from striker Charlie Bateson, a brace from Aiden ‘son of‘ Skiverton and goals from Josh Sutton and Jacob Shore wrapped up the win.

A late consolation goal from defender Jacob Shore was all Yeovil Town’s Under-18s had to show from a 3-1 defeat at home to Bridgwater United on Saturday.

The young Glovers were unable to get their noses in front despite a strong first half showing and their visitors took advantage with three goals after the break before Shore struck with five minutes to go.

It leaves them still searching for their first win in the South West Counties Youth League having drawn their first two matches.

There is no fixture for the Under-18s next weekend with their next outing coming at Wimborne Town on October 8th.

The age group teams representing the Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust picked up two victories but suffered three defeats at the weekend.

The Under-14s were the only side to get the better of their counterparts from Torquay United with the Devon side’s Under-13s, Under-15s and Under-16s getting the better of their Somerset rivals in the Junior Premier League.

There was success for the Trust’s Under-12s who defeated Taunton Town. The results in full:
