Feniton Feel Glovers Wrath
Yeovil Town Women returned to winning ways as they thumped Feniton by 4 goals to 1. This result left them in 5th position in the Regen Arable Division One South.
Two changes were made to the starting eleven which faced Sticker the week before, as Chloe Davenport and Chloe Bateman replaced Hannah Bishop and Zoe Ball. Emily Hall was back between the sticks for the Glovers.
Yeovil began the affair positively, as they earned their first opportunity in the 20th minute, Davenport saw her strike go just wide of the post.
Swiftly after this the Glovers broke the deadlock as Becky Miles fed Abbie Carslake, who cut inside and fired into the top corner to give Yeovil the lead.
The visitors continued to put pressure on Feniton as the half progressed, with Laura Wensley heading wide of the post following a Miles cross, on the stroke of half time.
Yeovil did not have to wait long before they doubled their lead in the second period, as Terri Will played a through ball for Davenport, who slotted confidently past the goalkeeper.
Moments later, and despite Yeovil’s dominance, the hosts had their first meaningful chance of the half, as Hall made an impressive save to deny Feniton a lifeline.
Following this, on the hour mark Yeovil took a step closer to returning to winning ways as Miles and Wensley combined again to make it three. Wensley confidently headed in from Miles’ corner.

The match finished 4-1 and ensured that Yeovil returned to winning ways in comprehensive style.
The player of the match was awarded to Abbie Carslake.
