Yeovil Town have announced that Welsh winger, Lewys Twamley has left Huish Park.

The former Merthyr Town man leaves the Glovers nearly a year early having signed an 18-month deal in the middle of last season.

Twamley had been a part of pre-season games and was originally given the number 7 shirt ahead of the new season, but now leaves on the eve of the season.

Lewys played just nine times for the Glovers.

All the best, Lewys.

I think someone from the club needs to come out with some serious answers sooner rather than later. More departures than arrivals, and the arrivals we have had have been underwhelming. I was very much for the move to training away with better facilities, with the pay off being a higher calibre of players being attracted to the club, so far, that hasn’t materialised. You can already predict the Twamley announcement at Torquay tomorrow. Our owners have gone silent, aside from a generic ‘try and keep everyone quiet’ statement that didn’t actually answer any questions. Not impressed…

In all fairness I wish him the best but he made too many errors. Especially the back pass to Barham against Aldershot on the final day last season

Sigh, the revolving door keeps on spinning! Would be interesting to see how many signings MC has made and how long they’ve lasted with us. Twamley might be one of the quickest exits.

This is starting to look rather embarrassing all round but especially for Mark Cooper. He’s bombed out a good core of a squad and they have found a home down the road at Torquay. Meanwhile he can’t seem to make a signing of his own stick.

I don’t like what’s going on at YT
Yes the lad has had a poor deal and yes probably going down to plainmoor to join Yeovil B or is it Stand up to Cooper fc

The more snippets I hear from people who do social media, the more I hope the new owner does spend some time on the terrace like he stated when taking over. That way he will hear for himself what seems to be the growing frustrations towards Mark Cooper.

Lewys Twamley has returned to Merthyr Town.
Good luck, Lewys.
