No less than three of Yeovil’s October opponents have been given slaps on the rest (and a little bit more), by the FA in the Monthly Charges wrap up.

Starting with way back in August, Havant and Waterlooville manager James Collins has been given a fine and a touchline ban after saying some naughty words in our clash with them earlier in the season.

INCIDENT OF MISCONDUCT – STANDARD CASE
James Collins, Manager, Havant & Waterlooville FC
Havant & Waterlooville FC vs Yeovil Town FC
National League South
28 August 2023

Breach of FA Rule E20.1: It is alleged that in or around the 51st minute of the fixture, his language was abusive and/or insulting towards a Match Official.

Mr Collins admits the Charge and accepts Standard Penalty 1 (£200 fine and a 1 match touchline ban).

Roll it on to the clash with Weston-super-Mare, the game which started the 10-match winning run across league and FA Cup – well, their manager Scott Bartlett has been hit with a couple of charges this month, but one does involve the Glovers match down on the seaside.

INCIDENT OF MISCONDUCT – NON-STANDARD CASE
Scott Bartlett, Manager, Weston-super-Mare AFC

Weston Super Mare AFC vs Yeovil Town FC
National League South
5 September 2023

Breach of FA Rule E3 – It is alleged that his conduct in or around the 90th minute of the fixture, which led to his dismissal, was improper.

Mr Bartlett has until 6pm on 8 November 2023 to provide a response.

Finally, remember after the game against Aveley, when Mark Cooper said this post-match;

“There was a horrendous sending off on Morgan Williams, a blatant kick which the guy then stayed on the pitch after the linesman told the ref to red card [him] for violent conduct…”

Well, not that it makes much difference now, but Charlee Hughes has got three matches on the sidelines to think about his actions after he was deemed to have committed… you guessed it, violent conduct.
