This is an example page. It's different from a blog post because it will stay in one place and will show up in your site navigation (in most themes). Most people start with an About page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might say something like this:
Hi there! I'm a bike messenger by day, aspiring actor by night, and this is my website. I live in Los Angeles, have a great dog named Jack, and I like piña coladas. (And gettin' caught in the rain.)
...or something like this:

Rowley: No sense in playing Mafico
On loan Cardiff City midfielder Dakarai Mafico has been limited to just 30 minutes of game time by his parent club, according to Yeovil Town boss Billy Rowley.
The 19-year-old has been missing for the Glovers for almost a month due to injury before returning to training with the Glovers this week, but he is not in the squad to face FC Halifax Town at Huish Park.
The club currently have seven players on loan with a limit of only five in the starting XI, meaning Mafico and Burton Albion striker Millar Matthews-Lewis are out.
Explaining the decision to BBC Somerset’s Jack Killah before kick-off, Rowley said: “We have left Dak out today due to the fact that we’ve got we got seven loans in our squad at the moment and we can only obviously use five on a match day. So Dak, because of his injury, he’s only been given a 30-minute protocol through Cardiff, so it probably makes no sense to use him today. Hopefully we can get 45 or 60 minutes out of him next week (at York City).“
Midfielder Jonathon Page is named amongst the substitutes for a second game having been missing for a month and defender Joy Mukena, who came on as a half-time substitute in the 2-1 defeat at Eastleigh with on Easter Monday and then going off with a reoccurrence of a hamstring injury, starts having recovered from the knock.
2.45PM UPDATE: Defender Kyle Ferguson has left the pre-match warm-up at Huish Park with what appears to be an injury, meaning there is likely to be a change to the starting XI before kick-off. It looks as if Harvey Greenslade is coming in with Finn Cousin-Dawson moving in to the defence in a last-minute reshuffle.

The game is almost the dictionary definition of a dead rubber for both sides with Yeovil mathematically safe from relegation and Halifax relying on an almighty slip-up from Southend United to sneak in to the play-off places.
Asked how he was motivating his side, Rowley said: “The supporters were a massive factor in the (team) talk today. They have been so good in the past couple of weeks and were incredible at Eastleigh. They want us they want us to come here and just fight for every yard, every inch, and every point we can and that’s the message for the lads, we want to finish strong. I think the challenge for us, we’re going to try and get like five or six points out of these last three games. You would imagine (next weekend’s trip to title-chasing) York is kind of a free hit, but we want to win today and we want to win against Solihull on the last day.”
“It is really difficult (for Halifax) because of how well they’ve done this season, but I hope that they’re a bit edgy and they’re really dthinking deeply about ‘what ifs.’ We just need to go and play the game in front of us and hopefully we deliver.”
Team News: FC Halifax Town (home)
3PM UPDATE: An injury to defender Kyle Ferguson in the pre-match warm-up means he is out and Harvey Greenslade has been brought in with a tactical reshuffle seeing Finn Cousin-Dawson moving in to defence.
Yeovil Town have made four changes from the Easter Monday defeat at Eastleigh as they take on FC Halifax Town at Huish Park (3pm kick-off).
Terrell Works and James Daly return to the Glovers’ forward line with Finn Cousin-Dawson back in the starting XI having served his suspension and Joy Mukena in at the back despite suffering a reoccurrence of a hamstring injury five days ago.
Troy Perrett and Harvey Greenslade, who both started against Eastleigh, are named among the substitutes whilst defender Millar Matthews-Lewis and Alex Whittle are not named in the squad.
There is no place for Cardiff City loanee Dakarai Mafico, who returned to training this week after a spell out through injury. He and Matthews-Lewis fall foul of the five-loanee limit.
Match Preview: Yeovil Town vs FC Halifax Town
Yeovil Town are back at Huish Park on Saturday afternoon as they take on FC Halifax Town in their penultimate home game of the National League Premier Division season.
FORM…
YEOVIL TOWN
With three games to go in the league, the Glovers are now mathematically safe from relegation. With that horrible thought now under control for another year, we may see a Yeovil side let loose a bit. After the last couple of weeks, the side has been up and down form wise and that was no different in their last game on Easter Monday.
That game saw them travel to the south coast to face Eastleigh short on bodies after a gruelling fixture schedule. Off the back of a hard-fought win against now-relegated Truro City on Good Friday, the Glovers went down to a 2-1 defeat as Eastleigh striker Aaron Blair scored a goal in each half before forgotten man, defender Dan Ellison, pulled a late consolation goal back for Yeovil.
That game saw all three Under-19s players, defender Jaydon Biss, midfielder Ollie Hughes and striker Liam Nardiello, all coming off the bench in the second half underlining the selection headache facing boss Billy Rowley.

FC Halifax Town
The Shayman have also been in form that resembles a roller-coaster. Over their last five fixtures, the Yorkshiremen have won twice, lost twice and drawn once. They arrive in Somerset five points outside the play-off places with Southend United, who occupy the spot above the dotted line, also having two games in hand.
Last time out, The Shaymen played out an entertaining 2-2 draw against Tamworth at The Shay. That match saw them miss a penalty in second half stoppage time having made a comeback from going 1-0 down in the first minute.
KEY PLAYERS…
YEOVIL TOWN – DAKARAI MAFICO
On loan Cardiff City midfielder Mafico started life at Yeovil with a bang, putting in superb performance after superb performance and showing the Huish Park faithful what the quality is like in the league above. He then settled in a bit more and those good performances felt normal and were maybe taken for granted.

The youngster then picked up an injury and has been out for a couple of games, and it has shown in the games he has missed. Rowley revealed the 19-year-old will be available to face Halifax and our midfield hasn’t felt as strong without him in it, as the 19-year-old knits everything together. As well as combining defence with attack, he does the hard work as well, covering the pitch and putting tackles when needed. With him back in the squad on Saturday hopefully we will get to see more of the Cardiff youngster before he returns to Welsh capital.
FC HALIFAX TOWN – WILL HARRIS
There is a number of reason why teams put themselves in play-off contention whether it be from a solid backline to great manager. But the most common reason for pushing high up the league is having someone who knows where the goal is. One of those players is Will Harris.
Now, Harris may not be one of the household strikers in the league like Yprk City’s Ollie Pearce‘s or Rochdale’s Emmanuel Dieseruvwe, who lead the division’s scoring charts. But the 25-year-old has definitely put himself in that bracket after the season he is having. He sits behind the aforementioned Pearce and Dieseruvwe, as well as Boreham Wood’s Matt Rush in fourth on the National League top scorer table, with 21 goals.
The Glovers have struggled against top striker so far this campaign and Saturday afternoon may be no different unfortunately.
THE GAFFER…
Adam Lakeland will be in the opposing dug-out at Huish Park as he winds down his first at the helm in Yorkshire. The 41-year-old has certainly earned his striped working up through leagues. Lakeland’s first managerial job in senior men’s football was at Northwich Victoria, where he managed for a season. After a year out, he would move onto Farsley Athletic, finishing his four year stint there in 2021.
He would return to Curzon Ashton, where he was once an assistant manager, and take the main job at the Tameside Stadium for two years. He would then leave for Kings Lynn, where again he lasted two years before moving onto FC Halifax Town.
LAST TIME WE MET…
The Glovers will be hoping to put some bad memories behind them having not beaten The Shaymen since 2022. That record was continued last time out when the two played out a thrilling 3-2 win for the Yorkshiremen.
On that day in late August, Owen Bray would open the scoring in first half stoppage time. Yeovil would fight their way back in the second half, with Junior Morias converting a penalty on the 52nd minute, and then took the lead through Harvey Greenslade six minutes later. Bray would get his brace only a few moments later, before Will Harris won the game for the home side ten minutes from time.

The last game at Huish Park was less eventful, with Florent Hoti bagging the only goal in a 1-0 win for Halifax.

THE MAN IN THE MIDDLE…
Rob Massey-Ellis will be the man with the whistle on Saturday, for more on him and his team read Ben’s article here.

Dave, Ben and Ian are back to chat about the Easter Bank Holiday weekend win over the Truro and defeat at Eastleigh and preview tomorrow’s match against Halifax.
MOTM Result Eastleigh (A)
Jed Ward normally wins Man of the Match votes when the Glovers lose, and here is another example.
Just over half the votes went the way of the Bristol Rovers loanee who made several fantastic saves.
Dan Ellison’s goal earned himself a spot on the podium, Harvey Greenslade was 3rd.

Will Merry’s late, late winner against relegated Truro was enough to land him his first Man of the Match of his loan spell.
Jed Ward came second, because, obviously.
Third place went to Brett McGavin who ended the game as captain after Jake Wannell went off injured.

Mafico and Page available for Glovers
Injury-hit Yeovil Town have had a triple boost with defender Joy Mukena and midfielders Dakarai Mafico and Jonathon Page all expected to be available for this weekend’s visit by FC Halifax Town.
Mukena was expected to be absent after he limped off with a re-occurrence of a hamstring injury which has troubled him since his arrival at Huish Park in the 2-1 defeat at Eastleigh on Easter Monday, whilst Mafico and Page have both been missing for more than a month.
Speaking to BBC Somerset’s Jack Killah, manager Billy Rowley said: “We’ve had a tiny bit of good news in terms of Joy. I think he had a better reaction in the past couple of days after the (Eastleigh) game and did a bit of training yesterday and felt good, so Joy’s potentially available for Saturday, so that’s great news. Dak will be back with us for Saturday as well, and Jon Page as well. Obviously it is great news to get those three boys back in and it leaves us in a better place moving in to the (Halifax) game.“

Halifax arrive at Huish Park with an outside chance of making the National League Premier Division play-off places, albeit relying on other teams above to slip up. They sit one place outside the top seven, five points behind seventh-placed Southend United who have played two games fewer than them.
They were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Tamworth on Easter Monday, having nicked a late winner at Altrincham on Good Friday.
Rowley said: “I have been impressed by them. They are well coached and play a similar style to us, they have got some really good players and have done a great job this season. They are turning up at Huish Park playing for a massive three points for them and their push (for the play-offs) but we have had some good results against some good teams at home and that is something we are going to try and do again on Saturday.
“It’s always fun to spoil some parties here and there, but you never mean any malice in that. It just adds a little bit of spice to the game, you know? Halifax will turn up with a decent away support on Saturday and then we’re going to move to York the following week and I imagine that is going to be an unbelievable crowd there and a great atmosphere and I think every footballer since you’re a young child, you want to play in those games. We’ve got three games left and we’re going to be putting all of our efforts into getting good results and we’ll see where we finish.“
Despite the defeat at Eastleigh, results elsewhere meant our place in the division was secured on Easter Monday and Rowley admitted it has been quite a change from his former club, Walton & Hersham, who clinched the Southern League Premier Division South title last weekend.
He said: “I came from a privileged position. We worked really hard at (Walton) to create a winning culture and a winning team there, so I was used to kind of winning most weekends. We walked in to a job at a club at the opposite end of the table, but losing one of the best centre backs I have seen at this level in Morgan Williams in the first couple of weeks was not ideal. Then more recently we lost Luke McCormick, our top scorer, vice-captain and a good character, so it was really difficult losing two top level players but I feel like some of the loan signings have stepped up well. It has been game by game really, just trying to win or draw as a minimum of every game we were playing. We have had some decent enough results, but I and as well as every supporter, we want to improve on this next season. We definitely want to be looking up and not down, that’s for sure.”
Match Officials – Halifax Town (H)
Rob Massey-Ellis is scoring a Huish Park hat trick by taking charge of his third Yeovil game of the season, when he looks after proceedings with Halifax Town in attendance.
He took charge of the 0-0 draw against Hartlepool way back at the start of the season, as well as the 2-1 home defeat to Aldershot in February of this year – he was a late substitution for that Aldershot game, taking over from Greg Rollason on match day morning.
In total, he’s looked after 30 games this season, across the EFL as well as the National League and Premier League 2 systems.
His numbers read; 115 yellows, 8 reds and 9 penalties.
In those 115 yellows, we have James Daly, Jake Wannell (x2), Charlie Cooper, Jed Ward and Finn Cousin-Dawson.
Fun fact, prior to the game against Aldershot, all previous five game he’d taken charge of the Glovers in, they would ALL end in draws.
He’ll be assisted by Michael Hayden and Huish Park regular with the flag Peter Lowe. Tom Ellsmore will be fourth official.

York take tickets off sale
York City have taken tickets off sale for Yeovil Town’s visit on Saturday 18th April for the penultimate fixture of the National League Premier Division season.
The Minstermen are currently sat top of the table and two points clear of the only other club which can clinch the title, Rochdale, who they visit on the final match of the season.
In a post on its social media on Tuesday afternoon, they said: “We are speaking with the relevant stakeholders regarding the North Stand usage for our match against Yeovil Town at the LNER. The East, South and West Stands have all sold out. We will communicate once we have a further update.”
Travelling supporters are due to be housed in blocks NA and NB of the North Stand behind one of the goals which presumably means York are trying to negotiate for more home tickets to be made available. Tickets for the fixture have been on sale since February but were taken off sale on Tuesday.
In response Yeovil have posted on their social media: “We have been made aware that tickets for our final away game at York have been temporarily taken off sale due to high demand in the home end. We will provide an update once we learn more.”
