This is an example page. It's different from a blog post because it will stay in one place and will show up in your site navigation (in most themes). Most people start with an About page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might say something like this:
Hi there! I'm a bike messenger by day, aspiring actor by night, and this is my website. I live in Los Angeles, have a great dog named Jack, and I like piña coladas. (And gettin' caught in the rain.)
...or something like this:
The XYZ Doohickey Company was founded in 1971, and has been providing quality doohickeys to the public ever since. Located in Gotham City, XYZ employs over 2,000 people and does all kinds of awesome things for the Gotham community.

Gloverscast #505 – “Can we Mill those too, please?”
Two signings! We are so back!
Ben, Dave and local park run celeb Chris Fox chat about the additions of Westbrooke and Obeng and start to get a little bit excited about the new season… just a little bit though.
On this episode we highlighted the excellent work of former Glover Dean Birkby who is taking part in March of the Day III for the Darby Rimmer Foundation with Marcus Stewart and all those fighting MND in our hearts and minds.
Obeng arrives as recruitment continues
Midfielder Mason Obeng has become Yeovil Town’s second signing of the summer after agreeing a two-year contract at Huish Park.
The 22-year-old is at the centre of a storm involving National League South new boys Walton & Hersham where he was part of the side which won the Southern League Premier Division South title last season.
Earlier this month, Walton revealed they had complained to the FA about “repeated approaches” to their players by Yeovil boss Billy Rowley, who was in charge at the Surrey side at the start of last season, and confirmed the Glovers had made a formal approach for Obeng.
Speaking to the club’s social media after the announcement, the new signing said: “I have always wanted to make the step up, so I am happy to be here. Having Billy here was very big for me, being comfortable and knowing the manager at this club brings certainty to me when you go to a new club, so it was a no brainer for me.
“Knowing that Yeovil is a club which plays higher up the divisions and aspire to get back to the Football League, I want to be someone who can help bring them back there.”

Rowley signed Obeng for Walton in the summer of 2024 after the player left Aldershot Town. The QPR academy product was named the Players’ Player of the Year at Walton following a season which saw him score 15 goals in his second campaign for the club.
“I like to entertain when I play, as an attacking player I like to create and score goals, that is what makes me enjoy football. Naturally I like to win, so I want to do that and help the team to get promoted through the play-offs or even the title.
“Joining a new team always brings new friends in football, that is one of the joys of joining a new club and naturally I want to blend in to the team.”
He follows the announcement of the signing of midfielder Zain Westbrooke, who has been given a three-year deal by Yeovil after leaving League Two Doncaster Rovers.
Glovers go West(brooke) for first signing
Midfielder Zain Westbrooke has become Yeovil Town’s first signing of the summer joining on a three-year contract.
The 29-year-old was part of the Scunthorpe United which made it to the National League Premier Division play-offs last season making 37 appearances for the Iron.
He was released by League Two side Doncaster Rovers at the end of last season.

Yeovil boss Billy Rowley said: “Zain is a clever, experienced midfielder who will bring a lot of calm to the team, but also the bite and competitiveness you need to win games. His passing range is top class, he reads the game really well, and he’s got the quality and personality to control matches. His experience will be massive for us over the course of the season, and we’re delighted to bring him to Yeovil Town.”
Having come through the academy at Brentford, Westbrooke was part of the Coventry City squad which won the League One title in 2019-20 which was curtailed due to COVID, making 33 appearances. He joined Bristol Rovers in 2020 before falling out of favour with then-Gas boss Joey Barton and being loaned out to Stevenage in 2022 and leaving the following year.
He signed for Doncaster following his departure from the Memorial Stadium and reached the League Two play-offs in 2023/24 and, despite missing a chunk of that campaign with a thigh injury, he missed a penalty in a semi-final shoot-out against Crewe Alexandra. He made just ten appearances in the 2024-25 campaign with lengthy absences through injury and was loaned to Scunthorpe last October.
Bristol Rovers friendly booked in.
Yeovil Town will host Bristol Rovers in a pre-season game on Saturday 18th July.
Steve Evans will bring his League Two side to Huish Park for a 2pm kick off.
The Gas came to Huish Park last pre-season winning 2-1 thanks to goals from Luke Thomas and Kofi Shaw, the game was a designated as a Match for Marcus Stewart who represented both clubs.
Gloverscast #504 – “Why’s Dave bringing a tortoise?”
Another week goes by and there’s a couple of things to discuss around YTFC! Ben, Ian and Dave return to chat tapping up, U19s and +1s at a party.
Farnham Fixture Filled In
A third pre-season friendly is in the books, we’re off to newly promoted National League South side Farnham Town.
After being promoted via the play-offs they will play at Step Two of the National League set up.
The game at Memorial Ground will take place on Tuesday 28th July – kicking off at 7:45pm
Gloversblog: Who should we sign this summer?
With the end of another mad Yeovil Town season upon us and with at least one more year of National League Premier Division football secure, we I are looking to the future and speculating on what our squad may look like next season. There was a marked improvement in our play since the arrival of Billy Rowley, but this transfer window is huge especially with only eight players still under contract. Glovers’ fan WILL JONES has taken a look at some of the players who Billy Rowley could look at as summer transfer targets.
Goalkeepers

Mason Terry – If we do elect to loan in a goalie and Ward is elsewhere then I would push for Terry on loan from West Ham as an option. Despite being in a relegated team with Braintree, he managed to keep 9 clean sheets and has had several fans naming him as one of their best players this season. Add to that the fact that in previous seasons he’s won multiple player of the season awards, he’s clearly got some real quality about him. I think with a more solid back line ahead of him than he had at The Iron he’d be a safe pair of hands with a decent amount of men’s football experience despite still being a youngster.
Centre Back

Dynel Simeu – Released by Oldham after signing a short term contract, this ex-Chelsea and Southampton youth lad just screams of someone who needs to drop into the national league and find a home. From his youth days he’s used to playing on the right of a back 3 and the thing that stands out about him from highlights is his athleticism, particularly his high jumping, which makes him appear bigger than his 6’1” frame, combine that with his strength, lots of highlights show other players bouncing off him when jostling for the ball, and he could add steel to our back line. He has played a lot in the north since leaving The Saints but in interviews he said Southampton was his home and he may wish to live a bit nearer to home, I think he could be a solid squad player.
Right Wing back
Left wing back

Jordan Norville-Williams – A player without direct links to our current recruitment team, but has played against Billy Rowley in the Surrey cup multiple times, so I’m sure he’s at least aware of him. His bombing runs up the wing played an integral part in Dorking’s impressive NLS season, he also can operate in both wing back and as the left of a back 3, so could provide solid cover for two positions in one, at 26 he’s at a great age to take up to the next level and see if he can shine.
Central Midfielder

Lloyd Humphries – ex-Weston-Super-Mare midfielder who’s just been released by Eastleigh, Lloyd always impressed me when playing for the seagulls and was a player I thought he should’ve been looking at when he left for the Spitfires. A midfielder who mops up everything and never makes it look difficult, him mucking in and doing the dirty work would be the perfect compliment to players like McGavin. He’s never played further afield than Cardiff, so likely wants to stay in the area, at 28 he’s a good age and was almost ever-present for several seasons in Weston and his first season at Eastleigh, could be our Mr Reliable in the middle of the park.
Attacking midfield

Lewys Twamley – I’m usually of the attitude to leave the memories alone when it comes to signing ex-players, but LT might’ve been the least Mark Cooper player we signed around that time, couple that with being played out of position and he predictably struggled. Having returned to Merthyr he’s managed 30 goal contributions, one every 135 minutes this season and I think giving him the option to tuck in behind a striker in a team encouraged to press and attack would play to his ability with his feet and passing vision, plus who doesn’t love a good redemption story?
Striker

Jonny Stuttle – Highly rated for his exploits in the Bournemouth youth team, scored 10 goals in 19 games in a loan spell for Farnborough in the NLS and had a short spell at Aldershot when Jamie Hedges was there. Unfortunately his rise was seriously derailed after he joined Walsall on loan this season and went down with an ACL injury which ended his season early. However, I would hope that Yeovil can capitalise on this and be the club where he gets his mojo back. Watching his highlights he consistently runs at and presses opposition defenders, has good footwork and is a confident finisher, the exact sort of striker who would massively benefit from the passing ability of McCormick and McGavin.
Under 19s Season Round Up
Yeovil Town Under 19s had a positive first season in the National League U19 alliance system for the first time, finishing third in their league and seeing a number of players make the step into the first team set up at various stages.
The season had a managerial change, Matt Percival leaving in January to explore new opportunities. Jamie Phillip took over the reigns with former Glovers captain Josh Staunton joining the club as Under 19s Operations Lead.
Finishing their 16 games in Division E, the young Glovers won eight, drew three and lost five; 59 scored with just 31 conceded.
Basingstoke have one game left in their campaign, so long as they don’t beat the Met Police by an eight goal margin or more, the Glovers are set to finish third in the table, 12 points off second and a whopping 16 points off Dorchester’s youth side who were almost perfect throughout their season.
Yeovil were one of the two teams to take points off the league leaders when drawing 0-0 back in October.
George Geraghty ended the season as the division’s second top scorer, his 21 goals just a couple shy of Eastleigh’s Ilya Ihnatenko who racked up 23.
Alec Thomas ended with 12, Ollie Hughes with eight.

Other notable milestones include a brilliant run to the Quarter-finals of the National League Alliance Cup, as well as a number of wins in the County Cup, however they did fall at the first hurdle in the FA Youth Cup.
The Francis Hillier Somerset Men’s Premier Cup gave a large number of Under 19s the chance to represent the Glovers in a first team atmosphere, in the end the Glovers lost 1-0 to Odd Down in the first round, but Blake Watts did break a record becoming the youngest captain of a Yeovil Town Men’s first team fixture.
Watts confirmed this week his time with the Glovers has come to an end after being associated with the club since Under 10s.

Three young Glovers made first team appearances in either the league or FA Trophy too, following in the footsteps of Corey Koerner who was the only academy graduate the season before.
Ollie Hughes, Liam Nardiello and Jaydon Biss all got plenty of time within the group including debuts for all of them at various times.
Hughes and Biss were named in match day squads more than dozen times each, with Nardiello included a couple of times too.
Hughes’ debut against Tamworth on March 3rd made him the fifth youngest Yeovil Town player to represent the Glovers in a league game.

As for Jaydon Biss, he made two appearances, once against Telford in the FA Trophy before making his league debut alongside Nardiello in the April fixture vs Eastleigh.
News will filter through over the coming days of players who have departed and those who will be with the group again next season.
Good luck to all those departing and here’s to another season of seeing the connection between the Under 19s and first team flourish.
THE GLOVERSCAST WOULD LOVE TO COVER MORE OF THE UNDER 19’S JOURNEY NEXT SEASON.

Watts announces YTFC departure
Yeovil Town Under 19s captain Blake Watts has confirmed he is leaving the club.
The Youth team skipper played his last game in the midweek clash with the Met Police Under 19s.
Watts broke a Yeovil Town record when becoming the youngest player to captain the Men’s first team in the Francis Hillier Somerset Men’s Premier Cup earlier this season.
Posting on LinkedIn he said;
“After 9 unforgettable years, the time has come for me to say goodbye to Yeovil Town F.C. After a 6-5 win on Wednesday my time at the club has come to an end.
From joining as a young player in U10s to captaining teams all the way through to the U19s, this club has played a huge part in my development both on and off the pitch.
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to experience so many special moments such as: trophies, memorable cup runs, incredible teammates and friendships and being written into the clubs history as well.
A huge thank you to all the coaches, staff, teammates, supporters, and everyone connected with the club who has supported me throughout this journey. The memories made here will stay with me forever.
Although this chapter comes to an end, I’m excited for what’s next and looking forward to the new opportunities ahead.
Thank you for everything 💚”
Watts’ departure suggests that decisions have started to be made regarding those who are in the Under 19s set up and what their future might look like.
All the best to Blake in his future.
