Yeovil Town were blown away by table topping Barnet on Tuesday night.
The injury-ravaged Glovers’ defence was under pressure from start to finish and three first half goals, including a special effort from the Barnet skipper Anthony Hartigan rendered the game over at the break.
A second half pair of penalties added salt to the wounds, it was a night to forget for the Glovers (not Ryan’s family, they probably had a lovely time).
Ben parted with his hard earned to watch on DAZN, here’s how it went down.
First half
With just 11 minutes gone, Ben Coker and Ryan Glover were interchanging passes with ease.
Everyone of the visiting side was within 20 yards of their own goal line and still Glover had time to blaze over the opening shot of the fixture.
Evans though showed some fancy footwork to nutmeg the guvnor and clear his lines.
The ball was soon back down the other end though, Kanu down the right, Coker down the left, time and time again.

The first ten minutes told us all we needed to know about how this game was going to end up!
There’s no point putting all eleven of your team in your own box if none of them know how to mark or tackle
Why not go all out attack & lose 5-0. It least it demonstrates some ambition to your own fans, instead of rolling over & dying.
They way Cooper set up tonight you’d have thought we were playing Liverpool at Anfield instead of Barnet at The Hive!
And don’t go blaming injuries. If Cooper had built properly instead of the mish-mash he made of things during the close season, pre-season & during the season this wouldn’t be an issue.
Now we have another loan winger!
He seems to be obsessed with signing wingers. But why? When we never play with any width!
We may escape relegation this season, but he he stays in charge we’re only delaying the inevitable.
He’s already taken us down once, but got away with it by blamng someone else.
Was kind of thinking the same thing, Mark. Last season we had four (yes FOUR) strikers with pedigree. Murphy, Hyde, Fisher and Big Frank. All of them had to be on a fairly good contract even at NLS. So promotion achieved – bye bye Muph, Fish and Hyde and thanks for everything….Jarvis is brought in…..and….. and….no one else. Just Frank already at the club. Then Jarvis gets crocked and no like for like to call on or lined up. Just loanees who get recalled or injured. We’ve reaped what we’ve sewn for a variety of reasons. Consequently a lot of injuries because our squad is paper thin at, what, 18 contracted and four loanees? Six injured, one (right back!) out on loan, and some lad called Hughes that no one knows if he really did come from Cardiff? We’ve wasted the pennies on 2-3 unproven and injury prone, when spending a few pounds on one reliable quality player may have paid dividends as we plan for the next season.
Separately, I’m still perplexed why Dylan Morgan left??
Completely agree with this, Mark.
Cooper built this squad, Cooper released the players in the positions we are currently crying out for cover in. but it is never Cooper’s fault…
Gutless, toothless, lethargic, unimaginative, dismal, Cooper. With the season over now, surely we have to look in the summer for someone else if we’ve got any serious intentions of going back to the football league. Fair play to Barnet, they made us look like a pub team without breaking a sweat, but I think most in this league can do that.
Barnet fan, in peace. Can see what Cooper is trying to do and it’s the right idea; you remind me of what we were like just after Brennan arrived. I was impressed by Nouble’s effort – he must be about 94 now, but he still put in a major shift. Credit as well to those Glovers fans who came a long way on a chilly night to support the team. Best of luck for the rest of the season.
Hi David R,
Perhaps you can enlighten us as to just what he is trying to do?
You mention what you were like just after your manager arrived. Our manager’s been here for over 2 years!
He took us down in his first season, but blamed somebody else for it!
He set up tonight to let you win, & everybody knew it after the first ten minutes.
If he’s still here next season (& unfortunately, he will be), we’ll get relegated.
I can’t watch any more. Went at the weekend and when Cooper Snr tossed the keys to Cooper Jnr who then parked the bus for 60 minutes, their equaliser was inevitable. We don’t have a stricker! For all the shifts he puts in Nouble has to score more than 13 in 76 games. Wilson has only played 7 senior games. Greenslade 13 in 64 (most at a much lower level). Lo-Everton 4 in 54.
I actually don’t think it will make a difference who Cooper signs. His coaching and tactics are stultifying. I wouldn’t be surprised if players don’t want to come here.
Bit of a wake up call. And unfortunately Yeovil will always just be at a level of Nat Lge midtable mediocrity, without significant investment.
It was nearly there on Saturday… being more positive, hold on 5 more mins and it’s a 2-1 win
