Owen Dean might not be the only Yeovil Town debut this week as we welcome a brand new official to Glovers games.
Callum Jones has never been the man in the middle for a Yeovil fixture. At least, not until 3pm on Saturday.
He has been an assistant, but even then just one time – away at Altrincham in 2022.
Oddly, his only match as referee for Wealdstone was… away at Altrincham in February. Funny how these things work out.
The Stones lost that game, 1-0 with two home players going into the book.
His record this season reads eight games across National League, National League Cup and Premier League 2, 23 yellows, zero reds and just the one penalty awarded.
He’s a very highly thought of official having been given Play-off responsibilities last season in the National League North as well as Premier League U21 International Cup games which included the likes of Brossuia Dortmund’s youth squads.
He’ll be assisted by Harley Hetherington, Ciaran Filder and Brandon Scaife will be looking after the dug outs.
