Yeovil Town have admitted a charge of ‘Mass Confrontation’ following the game against Hartlepool United in December.
Following the full time whistle of the match there was some… shenanigans… involving just about everyone on both sides which spilled into the tunnel and was all round unpleasant.
Both sides were charged with Mass Confrontation and both sides admitted the charges; Hartlepool were slapped to the tune of £1000, the Glovers £800.
Furthermore both Jermaine Francis and Morgan Williams appealed their red cards on the grounds of ‘Clearly Excessive’, both were dismissed, and both players missed three games.
You may remember some rather unruly scenes where a specatator jumped the barrier and made a charge for the players – the Gloverscast has been in touch with both Hartlepool United and Cleveland Police on the matter, but have not received an adequate response from either regarding the matter. No notice that the person involved was found, charged, evicted, anything… which isn’t really up to standard.
