Yeovil Town may have exited the Francis Hillier Somerset Men’s Premier Cup on Tuesday night, but there was a little bit of history made.

Young defender, Blake Watts, can now claim to be the youngest ever captain of the Yeovil Town Men’s First Team.

The previous record stood since 2023 when Ollie Haste skippered the side also in the SMPC.

The County Cup becomes an official first team fixture for all sides outside the EFL.

Watts was 18 years old and 29 days on Tuesday, beating Haste’s record by almost 10 months.

The left footed defender has also spent time with Sherborne this season as his football career takes another step forward.

From us all at the Gloverscast, Congratulations Blake!
