Yeovil Town Under-18s went down to a 2-1 defeat in their opening South West Counties Youth League fixture of the new season against Bath City at Alvington.

Defender Jacob Shore was in the Yeovil starting XI having returned to Huish Park following the completion of his one-month loan spell at Southern League Tiverton Town.

First team manager Mark Cooper was in attendance to see the young Glovers fall behind to a 30th minute opener from the visitors before they added a second on 70 minutes.

Harrison Foster pulled one back with a stunning volley with six minutes remaining and almost pulled the home side level with a strike from the edge of the box.

Yeovil Town: Parker, Johnson, Dyer, Skiverton, Shore, Foster, Bareham, Nanev, Haskett, Alden, Hilton. Substitutes: Koerner, Promore, Ansell, Alexander, Westlake.
