Yeovil Town boss Billy Rowley has returned to a more recognised starting XI as his side travel to Southend United in the National League on Saturday (12.30pm kick-off).
The Glovers has brought defender Jordan Norville-Williams and Archie Davies back in from the start along with midfielders Zain Westbrooke and Ryan Jones, the quartet started Monday’s 3-2 home win over Tamworth on the bench. There is no place for defender Ben Radcliffe in the squad after he went off early in the second half in the last game,
Defender Joe Gubbins and striker Slavi Spasov remain in the line-up as they make their first return to Root’s Hall since departing Southend to join the Glovers in the summer. In the hosts line-up, ex-Yeovil winger Lewys Twamley is in the starting XI with striker Promise Omochere, signed on a season-long loan from Bristol Rovers this week, on the bench.

Good luck.. first proper test.
So Scunthorpe and Carlisle arent? Both got to playoffs last season not a test are they.
Watched the first 77 minutes, gave up in disgust after Southend’s equaliser.
Possession based football, you’re taking the piss.
Rowley obviously never watched the England v Argentina World Cup game or he would’ve learnt his lesson.
We can’t retain possession, we can’t compete physically with any team in this league.
Still no leader in the squad, The only contracted competitive defender in our squad is on loan at Weston-Super-Mare. Still no tough tackling, ball winning, defensive midfielder after three years.
Grabbed an undeserved lead & spent the rest of the game camped in our own penalty area hoping luck was on side & relying on our keeper. Is this the manager’s plan for the season?
We aren’t winning anything this season, or next, if we continue with this airy fairy squad & airy fairy approach to games.
Wasn’t impressed with Rowley last season & haven’t been at all impressed this season with the nearly five matches I’ve seen.
Still waiting for the exciting, attacking football he & our owner keep spouting on about.
Are we going to see any sign of it this season, or, do we have to wait another year.
p.s. Didn’t see the Gateshead game.
