Darren Sarll will not be the next Carlisle United manager (that is assuming he ever was going to be) after the League Two strugglers appointed ex-Bristol City boss Keith Millen.

The Yeovil Town manager was the favourite for the job with a couple of national bookmakers’ on Monday evening, and was still favourite with BetVictor and 5/1 third favourite with SkyBet this morning.

But, as we did warn that the likelihood was this was just bookies making stuff up to keep things interesting, and it appears it was exactly that.

Millen has signed an 18-month contract with the Cumbrians who are third from bottom of League Two after 14 matches.
