It’s win number five for the season for Yeovil, as they defeated Dagenham & Redbridge 1-0 at Huish Park. Let’s see what else happened, on a chaotic day for the National League!
We begin in County Durham, where late drama may have saved Darren Sarll’s job, following a huge 4-3 win for Hartlepool United over Sutton United. ‘Pool found themselves 2-0 down at half-time, but a Mani Dieseruvwe hat trick helped them bag a vital three points.
Further highlight-worthy moments followed up north, as AFC Fylde, still without a manager, thumped Aldershot Town 5-2, including a double for former Glover Gavin Massey, and a goal from his OWN DAMN HALF for Nick Haughton.
In similar fashion to Hartlepool, FC Halifax Town came from 2-0 down at half-time to snatch victory from Tamworth in a 3-2 thriller, and in a similar scoreline, Solihull Moors held on to bag all three points against Oldham Athletic at Boundary Park.
A big playoff clash took place down south, as Eastleigh led at half time, before three goals in 25 minutes handed now-2nd placed side Forest Green Rovers the win; league leaders Barnet also found themselves behind at half time at home to Boston United, but three second half goals led the Bees to a 3-1 win, while former 2nd-placed side Rochdale weren’t so lucky. They found themselves 2-0 up at half time, but bottom side Ebbsfleet United scored two goals in four minutes to bag a vital point in a 2-2 draw.
Braintree Town bagged a huge three points in their early struggles, as they took down Altrincham in a 2-0 win, and Maidenhead United did exactly the same against Southend United on their travels.
In the evening kickoff, former Glover Dan Moss’ goal was cancelled out by another late Lenell John-Lewis goal as Woking and York City shared the points in a 1-1 draw, while in the final game of the day, Gateshead got off to a winning start in the league post-Rob Elliot in a 1-0 win over Wealdstone.
