Yeovil Town penalty hero Aaron Jarvis has said that the squad is “buzzing” after picking up a third straight win on Tuesday.

Speaking to BBC Radio Somerset’s Josh Perkins he said;

“We’re going on a great run now, it was a bit of an end to end game, especially in the first half, each goal was getting a lot of action, but we managed to do what we had to do today and that’s get another win on the board.”

The front man put home a second half penalty to land his first goal of the campaign and said it’s been a fair bit of time coming.

“I’ve been waiting a long time for that penalty, I haven’t actually been on the pitch when we’ve had one, it’s a sign, so, yeah, I was going to put my hands on that and put it down on the spot, I knew where I was going the whole time, and I’m glad to get off the mark.

I think I kind of deserve one with the amount of fouls that I don’t get, but like I said, happy to help the team get the three points today

It’s been a bit stop-start, especially this season, whether that’s not being selected or picking up a little knock here or there, but I’m there when needed and hopefully I’ll get a few more opportunities.”

After a run of form which has seen the Glovers get within touching distance of the play-offs he said the squad is in a good place.

“We’ve had three games in the last six days and a bit of travelling as well, so credit to the boys and the whole squad, we need to use the numbers especially off the bench as well, it’s not easy for the boys, but three wins from three, we are absolutely buzzing.”
