A predominantly young side went down 1-0 to Odd Down of Bath on Tuesday night.
A single Alfie Andrews goal was enough to separate the sides.
Three recognised first team squad members played with James Daly getting 45 minutes on his return from injury, Michee Efete also played the first half.
Matt Gould made his competitive Glovers’ debut between the sticks too.
Odd Down will find out their 2nd round opponents on Thursday evening.
