Yeovil Town have announced David Court as their new first team manager on a one-year deal, with an option for a further year.

Court replaces Paul Knight who left at the end of the 2024/25 season.

Court holds coaching badges up to a UEFA A License and has previously worked for Dorchester Sports, Andover Town, as well as holding Academy positions with both the Glovers and Torquay in recent years.

Yeovil recently announced that Yeovil Town Women FC will operate under the control of Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust.

Described as an “exciting and bold new chapter for women’s football in Yeovil”, the club have set out their ambitions for the next three seasons.
There is a desire to become the “premier women’s football club” in the South West and YTFC have explicitly stated their targets to be achieved by 2028 include, achieving promotion to Tier 5 by end of 2025/26 and Tier 4 (National League) by 2027/28.

Certainly a high pressure start to Court’s tenure in charge.

The Glovers recently unveiled a new plan for the future of the women’s team which including integrating more youth players and increasing sponsorship.

Yeovil will once again be in the South West Regional Football League – Division 1 South for the coming season
