Yeovil Town striker Tahvon Campbell has joined National League Premier Division side Brackley Town on loan until the end of the season.
The Glovers, who sit just three places and five points ahead of Brackley in the table, confirmed the move for the frontman on Tuesday.
A brief statement on the club’s website read: “Yeovil Town Football Club can confirm that Tahvon Campbell has joined Brackley Town on loan until the end of the season.
“Campbell joined the Glovers from Solihull Moors in June and has made 38 appearances, scoring four goals during his time at Huish Park so far this season. We wish Tahvon all the best during his time with Brackley Town.”
The timing of the move seems bizarre with Yeovil’s strikers struggling for goals with fellow forwards Aaron Jarvis and Harvey Greenslade managing just two goals each this campaign.
Unless there’s a new signing incoming………

Really hope this doesn’t come back to haunt us. Don’t understand sending him to a team only just below us in the league
So we’re getting rid of one of our strikers leaving us with only two who seemingly find the net once every 4 months? Interesting call, fingers crossed it’s a new signing coming in!
Presumably a new striker or two coming in. A quick calculation revealed we have a grand total of 19 league goals scored by the remaining fit squad members (i.e. not including the injured McCormick) to date. That’s fine if you have one player scoring 19 in 35 games…but…this is spread over 11 players. Yikes!!
And he has just scored for Brackley!!
He also played the full game. So the comments about him not being able to complete 90 minutes were wide of the mark.
He probably could for us but not Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday. If anyone is interested to check their team sheet on Saturday, perhaps we’ll find him on the bench.
He played the full game again.
Clearly doubts about fitness levels. Probably things have happened behind the scenes which are to be expected given the situation we are in.
We certainly don’t need a bad apple in our barrel – hence the hastiness of the departure . The current management must be respected and trusted to keep us in this division. We should have enough to be okay, however a decent run by a couple of teams below us presently will result in a very nervous ending.
I’m trusting these views are shared by our fellow glovers.
