Loved listening to the pod lads. The last 20ish mins were probably what many fans are thinking. One other factor to consider is location – ours and the players’. I mentioned after the Boredom Wood game their pool of prospective players is better because of where they are located. Unless we’re giving a good reason to come, i.e., long contract and financially worth their while, an identified player may sit tight and wait for the summer to see what there is out there. Would many players outside the commutable distance want to up sticks for a year and a bit, plus decide to move the family if that’s their situation? We’ve already seen Big Frank, Morias and Efete move on to be closer to family. It must be a massive job to convince the preferred signings(s) to agree to sign – so many factors incl. those mentioned on the pod and for that I’m not massively surprised we are where we are in terms of what it takes for the scarf to appear.
