Polls (Page 5)

It’s time for the weekly YeoGov poll. As one man is left to accept a contract, this week we want to know (and let Charlie know): Do you want Charlie Wakefield to stay?

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

Last week we asked you Do you think the Supporters Alliance Group serves its purpose?

86% of 104 voters (89) don’t think the Alliance serves it’s purpose, while 14% do. There’s a huge opportunity for the club to make the most of this platform. In this humble writers opinion, it needs a refresh and a review of what it’s meant to do and how it represents supporters as a whole.

It’s been quite the season at Yeovil Town this season, and we want to get the views of supporters across a number of issues. We’ve put together the anonymous survey below, which asks a number of questions about you and your views on the club.

The survey is on Google Forms and is a mix of multiple choice and linear scale (1-7 of course) questions about issues on the pitch, off the pitch and the future. There is also an optional section about the Gloverscast that we’d be very grateful if you’d complete it.

The survey will be open for four weeks and will close on Friday 1st July. We’ll go through the responses and share them on the website in July.

Last week we asked you which position you felt was a priority for Chris Hargreaves to recruit in and the results were truly shocking.

92.4% of 237 voters (219) think we need strikers! 5.5% think we need a midfielder, 1.7% think we defenders, and which one of you thinks we need a keeper?!

Last week (before the SSDC deal was announced) we asked you if, following the latest updates you felt Yeovil Town had a bright future under Scott Priestnall’s ownership?

An ovewhelming 93% of 313 voters (293) felt that we do not. With just 22 people (7%) voting that they think we do. We can probably deduce that the #PriestnallTapes failed to do what they were meant to and that there is some way to go to repair the relationship between the owner and supporters of the club.

Following Friday’s announcement confirming SSDC’s purchase of Huish Park and the surrounding land, we asked our readers who they thought would benefit the most from the deal.

Thank you to the 310 supporters who voted. 204 of you (65.8%) felt that Scott Priestnall would benefit the most. 54 (17.4%) thought SSDC would benefit the most and 52 (16.8%) thought the football club would benefit the most.

There’s no question that this deal remains controversial amongst supporters and that both Scott Priestnall and SSDC will have to provide further clarity and reassurances to supporters.

This week we will be welcoming Councillor John Clark, Portfolio Holder of Economic Development at SSDC, on to the Gloverscast to put some questions to him about the deal now that it is concluded.

Earlier today, Yeovil Town FC and SSDC confirmed that the £2.8m sale and leaseback deal of Huish Park was completed. You can read all about that here.

This deal is not without controversy, with plenty of supporters taking to social media to make their views known either way.

But, we’d like those of a green and white persuasion to answer the question below.

It’s time for the weekly YeoGov poll. This week we want to know: If season ticket prices are held at the same price they were this season, will you be buying one next season? Let us know your reasoning the comments.

Last week we asked if you if you felt Yeovil had overachieved, underachieved or performed as you expected this season.

124 people cast their vote with 62 (50%) saying they’ve performed as expected, 55 (44%) feel they’ve underachieved and 7 (6%) think Yeovil have overachieved.

It’s time for the weekly YeoGov poll. This week we want to know if you think Yeovil have underachieved, overachieved (by Unity?) or are about where you expected them to be.

Last week we asked if you supported the SSDC’s deal to purchase Huish Park.

170 people cast their vote with 118 (69%) saying no, 32 (19%) saying they didn’t know, and 20 (12%) saying yes. There are still things for SSDC and YTFC to clear up on that one then.

In a new weekly feature on the Gloverscast, we want to get your views on topics. Some serious, some silly, some hypothetical, but all Yeovil Town related.

In the first of our weekly polls, we want to know who YOU think would win in a match between Gary Johnson’s 02/03 Conference winning team, and Russell Slades’ 06/07 League One Playoff Finalists.
