Team of the Week
Lo Everton in Team of the Week
Wannell in the team of the week… again!
Jake Wannell has been named in the official Vanarama team of the weekend, for the season week in a row.
Two goals last Saturday, another one against Havant and the Clean Sheet Collossus makes the grade.
As an aside, so does the Havant keeper, Ross Worner, a couple of ridiculous 1 on 1 saves prevented the Glovers from running away from their visitors.
Good work, Jake.
Wannell and Day in team of the week
What’s better than having one defensive giant in the Team of the Week?
That’s right, two!
Two-goal hero Jake Wannell obviously makes the cut, but so does Joe Day following Yeovil’s 4-2 away win at Tonbridge Angels
The on loan man from Newport pulled off a sensational stop at 3-2 which secured the Glovers the win… “as good as goal” they say.
Great work from both of the Glovers duo, here’s to a few more!
Wannell in team of the week
A huge win over Bath gave the Glovers a healthy lead at the top of the National League South Table, but the clean sheet gained gets an extra boost with Jake Wannell being named in the Official Vanarama Team of the Week.
He kept the prolific Scott Wilson safely tucked in his back pocket and that’s enough for the league’s sponsors to pop him in their mythical XI.
Great work, Jake!

Wannell in team of the week
Yeovil Town’s 1-0 win over Eastbourne, took the Glovers to 50 points, eight clear of anyone else in the National League South.
The 9th ‘Cleano’ of the season so far has landed Jake Wannell a spot in the official team of the week.
The more Eagle-eyed fans out there will spot the strike force is an all Ex-YTFC line up too!
Congratulations, Jake.
Jordan Young in Team of the Week
Glovers’ winger Jordan Young has been named in the Official Vanarama Team of the Week (Combined North and South).
His equaliser against Dartford put Yeovil seven points clear at the top of the NLS table.
Dartford’s keeper also makes the side after having what can only be described as a ‘Worldy’.
Quick note for a trio of Taunton players and former Glover Shaun Jeffers who also make the cut.
Good work, Jordan.
Cox in team of the week
It’s a weekly occurrence these days, but another Yeovil star has impressed official league sponsors Vanarama to make their team of the week.
Sonny Cox got his first (and second) goals of his loan spell from Exeter as the Glovers won their 13th game in a row across League and FA Cup.
Quite what formation this week’s mythical side takes up is anyone’s guess, a lesser spotted 3-3-1-3 formation appears to be what they’re going for…
Either way, nice one, Sonny.
Sonny was also named in the Non League Paper Team of the Day too… Spot the GloversPast guest who also gets a name check
