FA Youth Cup

Yeovil Town’s Under 18s have been knocked out of the FA Youth Cup by their counter parts of Helston Athletic.

The young Glovers lost 3-0 with goals from Josh Daniel, Dylan Mitchell and Sam Pallet.

Yeovil had some chances, Jacob Shore went close with a free kick and with a header at a corner, but it wasn’t to be at Huish Park in front of an attendance of 197.

Including none other than Glovers’ legend Terry Skiverton with his son playing for the Green and Whites.

 

 

Huish Park will host more FA Cup action on Tuesday night as the Under 18s host Helston Athletic in the FA Youth Cup.

It’s been confirmed that this match will take place on the first team pitch and tickets are available on the day and in advance, by clicking HERE

The tickets are only available for the main stand, and are broken up into two categories; 

ADULTS – £5

UNDER  16S – £1.

The match kicks off at 7pm.

The young Glovers are coming off the back of a battling point at the weekend, recovering from 2-0 down to secure their first point of the new season.

If you’re at a loss for what to do on your Tuesday evening, Huish Park will open to the masses with all supporters welcome to cheer on the Under 18s as they hope to emulate their senior counterparts and progress to the next round.

The Under 18s will welcome either Helston Athletic or AFC St Austell with the game scheduled for the week commencing September the 18th.

FA Youth Cup Details;

When a match is drawn after 90 minutes, the winner shall be determined by the taking of kicks from the
penalty mark in accordance with the procedure adopted by The International Football Association Board.
Matches in The FA Youth Cup Competition take priority over all other matches with the only exception being
home first team commitments.

Qualifying Competition – Ties must only be played in the week commencing:-

Third Round Qualifying – Monday 16 October 2023

Yeovil Town’s Under-18s have been drawn away at Eastleigh in the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Youth Cup.

The young Glovers are through to this round after a 7 (seven) – 0 win over the Bovey Tracey Under-18s on Thursday evening. You can read more on the young Glovers’ win – here.

Eastleigh progressed with a 3-0 victory over AFC Totton.

Ties in this round are due to take place week commencing 10th of October.

Yeovil Town’s Under-18s progressed to the next qualifying round of the FA Youth Cup Cup on Thursday evening with a comprehensive 7-0 award victory at Bovey Tracey.

Matt Percival’s side were in complete control throughout and we’re already looking comfortable when the hosts were reduced to ten men in the second half.

A hat-trick from striker Charlie Bateson, a brace from Aiden ‘son of‘ Skiverton and goals from Josh Sutton and Jacob Shore wrapped up the win.

Yeovil Town‘s Under-18s have been drawn away at Bovey Tracey in the FA Youth Cup Second Qualifying Round.

The match will take place on Monday 26th September with a 7pm kick-off, unless both teams agree to change the time.

The Moorlanders, who play in the Devon Counties Under 18 South East Division, booked their place with a penalty shoot-out win over Plymouth Parkway in the competition’s first qualifying on Thursday night.

Yeovil Town Under-18s’ hopes of FA Youth Cup success ended with a 3-1 defeat at Cheltenham Saracens in the second qualifying round on Thursday night.

The home side went ahead through a 12th minute penalty before Daniel Onakoya doubled the advantage three minutes after the break.

Midfielder Ollie Haste pulled a goal back for Yeovil four minutes later when his free-kick was deflected on, before Cheltenham added a third in the final minute.

The home side’s under-18s, who play in the Gloucestershire Floodlit League, will travel to either Poole Town or Gosport B in the next round.
