Luton Town midfielder and former Yeovil loanee Dion Pereira has joined League Two side Bradford City on loan.

The ex-Watford man was at Huish Park towards the start of this season, playing 90 minutes in a 2-0 loss to Notts County in October.

Following that single performance he was not seen in a match day squad again, with Luton boss Nathan Jones citing a slight injury the cause for his return whilst Glovers’ manager Darren Sarll said the player was “massively fatigued” following his appearance.

On October 22, Sarll confirmed the player would not be returning to Yeovil.

Luton Town manager Nathan Jones has said “things happened” which led to Dion Pereira not wanting to remain on loan at Yeovil Town.

But, former Glovers’ full-back and coach  insisted there was “no difference of opinion” between the two clubs and said he still trusts his former team to look after young players.

Pereira was unveiled on a short-term loan deal the day before a 2-0 defeat at home to Notts County where he played the full 90 minutes.

But, he did not play in the game against Altrincham three days later and Yeovil boss Darren Sarll described the player as “massively fatigued” leading to his return to his Championship parent club for treatment.

Speaking to Luton Today, Jones said: “There wasn’t a difference of opinion, we trust Yeovil, they’re a good club with good people there.

“Things happened when (Dion) went there and he didn’t feel right.

“So, if he didn’t feel right, he’s not going to produce and we’re not going to get the maximum benefit out of it.

“We prefer to have him back here to work with our medical people, not because they’re any better than Yeovil’s but because they know Dion.

Jones said the Hatters’ “duty of care” towards Pereira meant Luton decided not to send the 22-year-old back to Huish Park.

But, he insisted that he has “no issue” with the Glovers, who had young winger Josh Neufville for a hugely productive loan spell last season.

Jones added: “They look after players at Yeovil. I was there and we did and people like (Glovers’ assistant and Jones’ former team-mate) Terry Skiverton, who’s there now, does.

“We’ve got no issue with Yeovil, it’s just that we wanted Dion to come back and work with us.

Yeovil Town have announced that loan pair Ben Seymour and Jordan Dyer have returned to Exeter following the expiry of their loan deals.

Initially signed on one-month deals from the Devon side, Glovers’ manager Darren Sarll told the Gloverscast last week, any renewals would go down to the wire, but it has now been announced that they will both return to their parent club.

Seymour made four appearances for the Glovers, including two starts whilst Jordan Dyer just made one, two-minute cameo in green and white.

With Lewis Simper being recalled by Cambridge early and Dion Pereira seemingly not coming back to complete his loan spell from Luton, it leaves just Sonny Blu Lo Everton (Watford), Dan Moss (Millwall)and Jack Robinson (Middlesbrough) as temporary additions to Darren Sarll’s side.

This weekend’s game vs Solihull represents Moss’ last game of his initial spell before he will either return to his London base or renew for a longer stint in Somerset.

We wish Jordan and Ben all the best back at St James’ Park.

Dion Pereira will not be returning to Yeovil Town having returned to his parent club  Luton Town, according to Glovers’ boss Darren Sarll.

The winger played in the 2-0 defeat against Notts County earlier this month and was described as being “massively fatigued” to the extent he returned to Kenilworth Road for treatment.

Asked by Gloverscast roving reporter Ben Barrett ahead of the trip to Grimsby this weekend, Sarll said: “I’m not sure we’ll see Dion again, I think he will stay at Luton.

Following the 22-year-old’s return, Luton manager and Yeovil old boy, Nathan Jones, said Pereira picked up “a slight injury” – whichever it was, that seems to be the last we’ll see of him.

The manager also updated on loan agreements for defender Dan Moss, who he sounded confident would be staying on when his current youth loan expires next month.

However, he said the deals for striker Ben Seymour and defender Jordan Dyer would depend on the needs of their parent club, Exeter City. The pair joined on a one-month loan at the end of September.

Sarll said: “I phoned Millwall for Dan Moss after one week of him starting with us, so there will be a strong possibility of him staying with us.

“That is a discussion we are having, but I would like to think he will stay with us. He can’t go in to the League before the window, so I would like to think he’ll be with us until January.

“Because of the nature of (Ben) Seymour and Jordan (Dyer)’s loan that will go right to the wire, and I think Matt Taylor (the Exeter City boss) will have that discussion about whether he needs them back.

Going in to the match at top-of-the-table Grimsby on Saturday, the manager said he expected to be without defenders Luke Wilkinson, Morgan Williams and Alex Bradley.

He said Wilkinson and Bradley “could be okay” for next Tuesday’s home game with Woking, but said they were taking extra precautions with Williams.

The boss added: “Morgan is a weird one because his knee rocked when he landed so we are having to be careful with him.”

Former Grimsby midfielder Mitchell Rose is “still struggling with a hamstring” injury sustained in the 2-0 defeat against Notts County on September 9 .

Winger Dion Pereira has temporarily returned to his parent club Luton Town having picked up “a slight injury“, according to Hatters’ boss and former Glovers’ defender Nathan Jones.

There is some confusion around the exact reason behind his absence from the 1-1 draw with Altrincham as Yeovil boss Darren Sarll said the player was “massively fatigued” after playing the full 90 minutes in a 2-0 defeat to Notts County last weekend.

Either way, it seems unlikely the 22-year-old will be available for Saturday’s FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie with W*ymouth at Huish Park

Talking to LutonToday, Jones said: “He’s picked up a slight injury so he has returned, but it is a club we trust because it’s a means to an end really.

“Dion had two weeks of international games so he would have played in the development squad but we’ve snt him to a good club where we know the work is good, the people are good.

“Without being disrespectful, once you go to Yeovil, it is not like you’re sending a player into London with the bright lights to distract them but they go to Yeovil to play football.

“They go down there, they stay down there and they become part of it and that is what we wanted for Dion.

“As it is, he’s picked up a slight injury so we have him back for treatment but it is a good club, a club we trust and we have no problems sending people there.

Speaking to the media ahead of the W*ymouth tie, Sarll said of Pereira: “Dion was not injured, he reported before the game that he was massively fatigued from the Saturday, so I don’t think he’ll be involved for Weymouth because he’s gone back to Luton for treatment.”

Dion Pereira makes his Premier League debut for Watford

Yeovil Town have further boosted their attacking options with the loan signing of 22-year-old Luton Town winger, Dion Pereira on a short term deal.

Pereira joins as the Glovers’ 7th loanee and will fight it out for a place in the squad with Dan Moss, Jack Robinson, Sonny Blu Lo Everton, Lewis Simper, Jordan Dyer and Ben (not Tom) Seymour also at the club on temporary deals.

The former Watford academy product will have worked under Darren Sarll in the Hornet’s academy before making the switch to Luton Town where he has been involved in the first team making a handful of appearances under former Yeovil skipper Nathan Jones.

He has been previously linked with moves to West Ham and Newcastle after making his Premier League debut at Vicarage Road instead opting for a spell in the United States with Atalanta FC.

Welcome to Huish Park, Dion!
